Manually stopping and starting the Log Server service

The Venafi Log Server service manages event logging and notifications. When you make changes to the Log Server service, a manual restart may be required.

To manually stop the Venafi Log server Service

1. Connect via a remote session to the Venafi Platform server used for Logging.
2. Open the Venafi Configuration Console.
3. Click the Product node in the left panel.
4. Click the Logging component in the middle panel.
5. Click the Stop action in the right panel. This sets the status to Stopped.

To manually start the Venafi Log server Service

If you're not already in the Product node in Venafi Configuration Console, follow steps 1 through 4 above.

Click the Start action in the right panel. This sets the status to Running.
